Emotional hostage, a memorial piece, attempted to define the feelings of helplessness suffered by those afflicted with mental illness and anxiety.

The clinging fabric and hyper-realism of French Graveyard sculpture heavily influence this work. Her hip, just barely exposed, brought a tension to the piece that made the figure seem all the more vulnerable. The final touch - a rotating platform at the base of the work - allowed the clinging figure to spin around slowly at even the slightest push.
