part 1- Impressions of Grimm's fairytale 'Allerleirauh' in tactile story panels and casts of women.

part 2- An ethereal retelling of the tale in terms of inner awakening - video short entitled 'Three Dresses'

part 3- 'End of the Fairytale' a multi-media installation on the toxic plastic in the trashed Pacific Gyre.

part 4 - 'The Waiting', the inner sanctum or grotto of the exhibition. Crossing a narrow threshold into another room and stepping onto a small platform at the edge of an expanse of reflective black water. A creaky boardwalk to the center of the grotto provides  the best vantage point of both the haunting casts of children covering the walls ( our children ) and of their reflections.

The Children

A
mazing youngsters between the ages of 4 and 12 volunteer to have their bodies cast (for part 3- the environmental voice of the installation, & part 4 the Grotto of the exhibition- note*  so far 55 children managed to stay still long enough for the plaster to harden). Each child is voting with their entire being, trusting we see value in their  'investment'  and in their future.
