REFERENCES Marion Woodman 's book "Leaving my Father's House" Grimm's Fairy Tale from her book that inspired the exhibition
'Leaving My Father's House', Icehouse Alternative-Arts Museum, Phoenix, Arizona * link to parts 1, 2 & 3 of LMFH part 1- Impressions of Grimm's fairytale 'Allerleirauh' in tactile story panels and casts of women. part 2- An ethereal retelling of the tale in terms of inner awakening - video short entitled 'Three Dresses' part 3- 'End of the Fairytale' a multi-media installation on the toxic plastic in the trashed Pacific Gyre. part 4 - 'The Waiting', the inner sanctum or grotto of the exhibition. Crossing a narrow threshold into another room and stepping onto a small platform at the edge of an expanse of reflective black water. A creaky boardwalk to the center of the grotto provides the best vantage point of both the haunting casts of children covering the walls ( our children ) and of their reflections.
